Izzat M. Idriss is Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering at the University of California at Davis (UCD) and an independent consulting geotechnical engineer. Professor Idriss has conducted extensive post-earthquake investigations for ten earthquakes since the Great Alaska Earthquake of 1964. He has developed or co-developed many of the procedures currently used to evaluate the behavior of soils and structures during earthquakes, and has authored or co-authored some 300 technical papers and research reports on topics related to geotechnical earthquake engineering. Today I bring you a presentation made by Prof. Idriss at the 2nd International Congress of Geotechnical Engineering, Mining and Seismicity, held in 2022. I hope you find it interesting.
