podr\u00eda (y se requiere) que ocurra a mayor velocidad. Seg\u00fan un informe publicado por Global Energy Monitor, Latinoam\u00e9rica se encuentra en condiciones de aumentar su capacidad de energ\u00eda solar y e\u00f3lica a gran escala en m\u00e1s de un 460% para 2030. De esa manera, para ese a\u00f1o, la regi\u00f3n podr\u00eda tener m\u00e1s de 319 gigavatios de capacidad solar y e\u00f3lica, tomando en cuenta los proyectos anunciados, en fase de pre-construcci\u00f3n o en construcci\u00f3n. S\u00f3lo la energ\u00eda solar generar\u00e1 m\u00e1s de 20 megavatios, y la e\u00f3lica, 10 megavatios. Y estas cifras no incluyen la energ\u00eda producida por la hidroelectricidad, que es la fuente m\u00e1s importante desde M\u00e9xico hasta Argentina.<\/p><p>En este contexto, la Ingenier\u00eda Geot\u00e9cnica aparece como una disciplina indispensable para el desarrollo seguro y confiable de estas nuevas energ\u00edas, dado que todo proyecto es construido con, sobre o dentro del terreno.
