situaci\u00f3n de equilibrio. Pero, \u00bfqu\u00e9 significa eso? B\u00e1sicamente, que en un tiempo promedio dado, la cantidad de agua que recarga al acu\u00edfero es aproximadamente igual a la cantidad de agua que se descarga del mismo. Por lo tanto, el agua almacenada en el acu\u00edfero es constante, o var\u00eda alrededor de cierta condici\u00f3n promedio, en respuesta a las condiciones clim\u00e1ticas anuales o de m\u00e1s largo plazo. el acu\u00edfero, y a la modificaci\u00f3n de los patrones de recarga debido a la irrigaci\u00f3n y a la construcci\u00f3n de desarrollos urbanos, as\u00ed como a cambios en el tipo de vegetaci\u00f3n. Esto es lo que se denomina \u201cel efecto antr\u00f3pico\u201d sobre un decir, una incremento en la recarga).<\/li><li>Menor cantidad de agua que sale del acu\u00edfero (es decir, una disminuci\u00f3n de la descarga).<\/li><li>Extracci\u00f3n del agua almacenada en el acu\u00edfero.<\/li><li>Alguna combinaci\u00f3n de las tres anteriores.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Esquem\u00e1ticamente, el efecto de bombeo puede representarse como se ilustra en la Figura 2, la cual representa un acu\u00edfero <em>en extracci\u00f3n de agua. Es decir, que el agua bombeada debe proceder de <em>alg\u00fan cambio<\/em> de caudales y de la extracci\u00f3n de agua almacenada en el sistema previo al desarrollo, cuando el acu\u00edfero se encontraba en un estado de equilibrio.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Es importante resaltar que las contribuciones relativas de los cambios en el almacenamiento, los cambios en la recarga y los cambios en la descarga, evolucionan con el tiempo. Igualmente cierto es que, si el sistema puede alcanzar un nuevo equilibrio, los cambios en el almacenamiento se detendr\u00e1n y las entradas al acu\u00edfero se equilibrar\u00e1n nuevamente con las descargas.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>De acuerdo a lo anterior, la fuente de agua a largo plazo para pozos, est\u00e1 asociada a cambios en la cantidad de agua que entra o sale del acu\u00edfero.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-ee09401 elementor-section-full_width elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"ee09401\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-3cbd0e9\" data-id=\"3cbd0e9\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d1ea260 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d1ea260\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Cambio clim\u00e1tico y sostenibilidad de acu\u00edferos<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-b4eef95 elementor-section-full_width elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"b4eef95\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-1ac15f7\" data-id=\"1ac15f7\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d3d0d0f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d3d0d0f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Ahora bien, considerando la din\u00e1mica de un acu\u00edfero en desarrollo, \u00bfcu\u00e1ndo puede considerarse que un acu\u00edfero es sostenible?<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>El primer factor a considerar respecto a la sostenibilidad de los acu\u00edferos, es que la cantidad de agua subterr\u00e1nea disponible para su uso, depende de c\u00f3mo los cambios en los flujos de recarga y descarga afecten al medio ambiente circundante.<\/p><p>El segundo factor a considerar es el desarrollo de estrategias de gesti\u00f3n sostenible, que tomen en cuenta dos componentes de gran importancia:<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>La diferenciaci\u00f3n entre la cantidad de agua bombeada (es decir, extra\u00edda del acu\u00edfero) y la cantidad de agua efectivamente consumida (es decir, que no regresa al acu\u00edfero) a la hora de estimar la disponibilidad de agua.<\/li><li>Los efectos del cambio clim\u00e1tico en el medio ambiente circundante.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Tomando en cuenta este \u00faltimo componente, cabe preguntarse <em>de qu\u00e9 manera puede el cambio clim\u00e1tico afectar la sostenibilidad de los acu\u00edferos<\/em>. La respuesta no es sencilla, por supuesto, pero pueden mencionarse algunos efectos del cambio clim\u00e1tico sobre los acu\u00edferos, que pueden alterar su equilibrio de manera significativa:<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol><li>Cambios en la recarga de las aguas subterr\u00e1neas como consecuencia de los cambios en la media de las precipitaciones y la temperatura, o en la distribuci\u00f3n estacional de las precipitaciones.<\/li><li>Sequ\u00edas m\u00e1s severas y duraderas.<\/li><li>Cambios en la evapotranspiraci\u00f3n como consecuencia de los cambios en la vegetaci\u00f3n.<\/li><li>Posible aumento de la demanda de aguas subterr\u00e1neas como fuente de suministro de agua de reserva.<\/li><\/ol><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Adem\u00e1s, cabe destacar que los acu\u00edferos superficiales, que suministran gran parte del caudal a los arroyos, lagos, humedales y manantiales, son probablemente la parte del sistema de aguas subterr\u00e1neas m\u00e1s sensible al cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section alcanzar el desarrollo sostenible, no s\u00f3lo de los acu\u00edferos, sino de todos los aspectos que forman parte de nuestra
